About Fairwinds Farm

We are a small family owned farm striving to breed quality Rocky Mountain Horses since 1992. Starting with a yearling stallion, two mares and young stock Fairwinds Farm was formed. Since then we have added six more mares and fillies plus another stallion.

Our goal when we started out breeding the Rocky Mountain Horse was to find the true Rocky Mountain Horse and to preserve those traits that set the Rocky Mountain Horse apart from the rest of the herd. Conformation, gait and disposition have always been number one at Fairwinds Farm. We believe with our bloodlines that we provide the true old time Rocky Mountain Horse.

So we invite you to take a look at Fairwinds Farm and you will see that we do have the true Rocky Mountain Horse. We believe that we can help you with your needs. From a filly or stud colt to start or add to your own breeding program or a horse you can show off on the trail or on the show rail.

The three horses that started our adventure, the yearling stallion, SAM’S MISSOURI SON, is 18 years old now and the two mares, CALLIE AND CHERRY are 22 years old, they are still here at Fairwinds Farm providing new adventures for Rocky Mountain lovers everywhere.
